Love's Labour's Lost by William Shakespeare
Lighting Design
My design for this production of Love’s Labour’s Lost represents nature in the form of naturalism. The characters are effected by the way that nature and sunlight move throughout their story. I placed booms upstage left and downstage right so that the light would wrap up and over the stage similarly to how we see the sun rise and set over our sky every day.

Research
Process of Design

After research I used a lighting key to help me communicate my ideas.

Next, I decided how many focus areas I needed to cover the stage.

After I placed lights on the plot, I went back and assigned channels to each group.

With the groups, I made myself a magic sheet that was easy to navigate for cueing.
